Hiya..

Planning to ride to portugal on my falco but am a bit worried about the fuel economy Iv been getting on this bike - 120m and my fuel lights come on and at 145m Im out n dry!

Is there any way I can increase my range or my tank capacity so I can travel longer without worrying about fuel stops?

Any advice, insights, thoughts, and experiences will be appreciated.

thanks,

Josh

Not sure to be honest, the Falco had a RP58 chip in it which is a rsv chip outof my 03 Mille, the mille can get the light on with only 80 miles showing Confused Not sure what Portugal would be like ,Ive done France several times & Spain a couple of times & to be honest France was a bit of sod trying to find gas stations open on a Sunday. If you dont use big throttle opening you'll be suprised what it will do.Ive fitted Dr Rossi eprom chips to mine now so not sure what the mpg will be
Have you had your throttle bodies setup properly?

Yes.. TB done by Griff couple of months ago. I know Dr Rossi chip will enhance the ride but will is sort out the mpg as well? cause right now Im riding it all standard with venom cans minus baffels. the chip can also sort out the flat spot I guess, but main concern is MPG!!

Is it downgeared at all? Fitting a smaller rear/larger front sprocket will keep the revs down

I'm on 15/42, Renegade airkit, pipes, cans and chip and my fuel light consistently comes on at 140 miles.

It used to come on at 110 until Griff changed the plugs, saying it had the wrong ones in it before (Southern Cross did the previous service, but the 110 miles to the light has been the same since new).

Trouble is, I don't know what the new plugs are.
